Bach - Prelude In C

The Six Little Preludes are a group of preludes written by the composer Johann Sebastian Bach for harpsichord. They are all short, pedagogical efforts written in or around the period of 1717?1720, but they were not published until 1802. These pieces are all short but require a strong understanding of technique. This is one of a series of 18 preludes Bach sporadically produced around 1717-1720, primarily for instructive purposes, and were not intended for performance. (Wikipedia)

Johann Sebastian Bach was a German composer and musician of the Baroque period. He enriched established German styles through his skill in counterpoint, harmonic and motivic organisation, and the adaptation of rhythms, forms, and textures from abroad, particularly from Italy and France. Bach's compositions include the Brandenburg concertos, the Mass in B minor, The Well-Tempered Clavier, two Passions, keyboard works, and more than 300 cantatas, of which nearly 100 cantatas have been lost to posterity. His music is revered for its intellectual depth, technical command, and artistic beauty. (Wikipedia)
